Divisional Secretariat - Maharagama

The inaugural ceremony of the “Vidatha Kadamandi” Trade Fair was held at the Maharagama Mahajana Pola premises on 2022-04-05 under the patronage of Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, District Secretary, Colombo, Mr. Sampath Idam Godage, Additional District Secretary and Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama. The trade fair will be held on April 5 and April 6 from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. The fair sells food, confectionery, local herbal products, footwear, flowers, plants, ornaments, handicrafts and clothing.

A special promotion program on Sri Lanka Social Security Pension Scheme in the domains of Maharagama Pamunuwa to coincide with the Prosperity Week under the guidance of Colombo District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne on 2022-03-31 conducted by the Divisional Secretary Mrs.Dilrukshi Walpola. Mr. Sampath Idam Godage, Additional District Secretary, Colombo, Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama, Mr. S.K. Mrs. Jayasundera, General Superintendent of the Social Security Board of Sri Lanka K.S.P. Mr. Kaluarachchi, Deputy General Superintendent of the Social Security Board of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Kalhari Silva, Deputy General Superintendent of the Social Security Board, Finance S.W. Mr. Lakshman and other government officials were also present. In particular, the awarding of a pension to a mother who has completed 60 years of age, the awarding of deeds to policyholders and the evaluation of Mrs. H.M.D.K Nishamali, Grama Niladhari, who recruited 116 contributors in the Colombo District in the year 2017 and became the first in the Colombo District.

Early Childhood Development Officer Mrs. Nilushi Ariyaratne Coordinated the Child Mental Empowerment Psychological Counseling Program through Art Treatment at the National Institute of Education Development Maharagama on 01.04.2022 Ms. Nethra Malagoda, Counseling Officer, Conducting and Counseling .Ms.Sripali pitawela and Ms. Malani Ariyaratne also contributed resources to make the program a success.

"Haritha Deyak" National Home Garden Cultivation Program 2022 'Let's Start From the Garden' The inaugural program of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat was held on 29.03.2022 at 9.00 am at the Sudarshanarama Temple, Malapalla. Provincial Council Minister Upali Kodikara, Former Mayor Kanthi Kodikara, Maharagama Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Samurdhi Headquarters Manager, Banking Society Manager, Project Manager, Kottawa Samurdhi Bank Association Manager, Agriculture Advisers, Agrarian Services Officers, Rural Officers, Agriculture Officers, Development Officers, Municipal Councilor Mr. Jagath, Home Recipients of Malapalla East Malapalla West, Makumbura North Divisions participated.
