Colombo District Dengue Control Program (From 2026.06.15 to 2026.06.22)

Coinciding with the Dengue Control Week, a special dengue control program organized within the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Division commenced today (16) in the Kottawa area under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. This initiative aims to control the spread of dengue and raise health awareness among the public.

The event was attended by:

• Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs: Sunil Kumara Gamlat

• Deputy Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs: Sunil Watagala

• Colombo District Member of Parliament: Devananda Suraweera

• Chairman of the Maharagama Pradeshiya Sabha: Saman Samarakoon

• Maharagama Divisional Secretary: Mrs. Himali Karunaratne
