Coinciding with the Dengue Control Week, a special dengue control program organized within the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Division commenced today (16) in the Kottawa area under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. This initiative aims to control the spread of dengue and raise health awareness among the public.

The event was attended by:

The program "Daya Nanwana Sapari Gamak" under Community Productivity Model Village Project 2025-2027 which is conducted in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka National Program was Held on 16/03/2026 in Meegahawaththa Village of Maharagama Divisional Secretariat . For the programme, Honarable Deputy Minister of Public Safety and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Sunil Vatagala, Chairman Maharagama District Coordinating Committee Mr. Devananda Suraweera, Mayor of Maharagama Municipal Council and municipal council, Maharagama District Secretary Mrs. Himali Karunaratne, staff including male officers of the Divisional Secretariat, Maharagama Divisional Secretary Office Productivity Officers Mrs. Thushari Dissanayake and Mr. Chandika Ariyawansa, Godigamuwa South Village Grama Niladari Mrs. Sujani Karunaratne and other local residents participated in it.
