The farewell ceremony held for the transfer of Mr. Nimal Dayaratne, Assistant Director (Planning) was organized by the staff officers and staff including Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola on 2022-07-15 at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat.

Under the Aharin Sapiri Kolon Totak - Kolon Tota Cultivation War program, which is implemented under the concept of District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, observation of gardening in the locations of Maharagama Divisional Secretariat by Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, District Secretary of Colombo on 08.07.2022 Conducted in the division. The plantations were observed and agricultural materials were distributed in places such as Ganelanda Rajamaha Vihara, Madivela Eyam Poruwa Temple, Gafurya Arab Mosque, Male and Child Development Center (Boyzone). Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, District Secretary/ District Secretary of Colombo and Mr. Senaka Silva, Planning Director of Colombo District Secretariat also participated in these site observations. On the advice of Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Assistant Director Planning Mr. Nimal Dayaratne and development officers and other field officers are coordinating these gardening programmes.

Under the National Gardening programme 496 kottawa was held on 14/07/2022 in Kottawa South Division and giving instructions to the beneficiaries regarding the problems and basic facts of gardening by Mrs.Kumuduni Agricultural officer. Later, the distribution of vegetable seed packets was done by Mrs. Suwandi Kasturiarachchi, Development Officer. Mrs. Samira Alvitigala, former development officer of Kottawa South, participated in these events and supported this.

Distribution of 750 bags of goods among the community in Mirihana South GN division under the patronage of Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, District Secretary of Colombo, with the contribution of "Divi Saviya" LOLC Company, coordinated by Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola on 2022-07-08 at Mirihana South Vivekarama temple with the participation of state officials.
