Under the Rural Economic Revitalization and Food Security Committees, a gardening kit and coconut sapling distribution program for 75 beneficiary families by the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority centered on Makumbura North, Malapalla West and Malapalla East divisions under the leadership of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at Makumbura Language Training Center on 2022.11.18. For this, all the officers of the three divisions took initiative.

The Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority conducted an awareness program about gardening for 75 beneficiary families in Malapalla East, Malapalla West and Makumbura North Gn divisions on 06.11.2022 at Malapalla East Sewa Piyasa. Development officers and agricultural research officers and other officials and political representatives are involved.

The canteen run by the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Welfare Association was opened on 2022-11-02 on an auspicious occasion by the presence of the Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola. Other staff officers and officers of the Divisional Secretariat also participated in this.

Under the Rural Economic Revitalization Program of Kottawa East GN division, an awareness program on driving away the white bug and other harmful insects that damage coconut cultivation was conducted by Mr. Dhanushka, the Coconut Development Officer and the Agricultural Research Officer in charge of the GN division and development officers on 04.11.2022.

An awareness meeting was held on 21.10.2022 at Maharagama Divisional Secretariat headed by , Prime Minister's Parliamentary Affairs Secretary V.N. Mr. Perera, Colombo District Planning Director Mr. Senaka Silva and Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola. with other staff officers in Navinna, Pamunwa, Kottawa East, Pragatipura, Thalavathugoda West and Village level officials representing village committees also participated.
