Divisional Secretariat - Maharagama

Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, District Secretary, Colombo and Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama and other State Officials were present on 2021-02-05 to inspect the Boralesgamuwa Lake and the related Vapikarama Temple premises where the Irrigation Prosperity District Program is scheduled to be held on 02-06-2021

Under the guidance of Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama, the Accounts Division organized by Mrs. Nadeeka Goonatunga, Accountant, held an annual Pinkama on 2021-02-05 at the office to raise money for their birthdays and to help families with children with financial difficulties. Rs. 20,000 worth of donations were made to a poor mother and her childern.

The 73rd Independence Day celebrations were held under the patronage of Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of External Affairs and Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama on 2021/02/04 at the Prajamandala premises in Madiwela Division of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat. Political representatives, government officials and representatives of voluntary associations also participated in this event.

On the instructions of Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama, a tree planting ceremony was held at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat in collaboration with the Multipurpose Development Assistants on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day and the environment around the office was cleaned. This program was coordinated by Mr. Wasantha Ratnayake, Multipurpose Development Task Force Officer, Maharagama Divisional Secretariat.(2021-02-04)
