The second phase of the meeting was held on 22.06.2021 at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of District Director of Agriculture Manjula Nagahawatte. Provincial Director (Agriculture) Mr. Amarakoon, Assistant Director (Fertilizer) of the District Secretariat. M.T Pushpakumara, Deputy Provincial Office of the Director of Agriculture Assistant Director (Projects) H.S. Mrs. Premaratne, Deputy Provincial Office of the Director of Agriculture. The. Mr. Kumarasiri, Assistant Director of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Mrs. A.D.E Wijegunawardena and the Maharagama Agriculture Development Officer, Maharagama Agriculture Instructor, Coconut Development Officer R.A. Mr. Lilan Danushka and Agriculture Research Production Assistants in charge of the division were present.

The issues related to the cultivation with organic manure in the division were discussed and a presentation was made by Mrs. Champika Kithmini, Agriculture Instructor on how to ensure the quality of organic manure production.

The Costing Program organized by the Small Business Development Division of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat and the Colombo District Small Business Development Division with the participation of 15 Entrepreneurs was held on 20-06-21 2021 from 12 noon to 3.30 pm. The program was conducted by the Entrepreneurship Development Training Officers of the Small Business Development Division of the Colombo District Secretariat.

Maharagama Youth Services Officer Piyum Athurugiriya donated a stock of essential items for the use of corona infected patients established at Navinna Ayurveda Hospital with the financial assistance of the Maharagama Youth Club Federation as a CSR initiative on 2021-06-20.

The distribution of 150 dry rations to those who were inconvenienced due to travel restrictions was carried out on 21-06-2021 in the Liyanagoda Division of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat. Mr. Hemapala Silva, a resident of the United States of America, donated this money for this purpose.This was coordinated by Mr. Alwis with the intervention of Grama Niladhari Mrs. SWS Nilanthi and Mr. Udayanga, OIC Ananda and Dilsupun on behalf of the Kottawa Community Police Unit and Mr. Indrasiri and Mr.Kamal on behalf of the Liyanagoda Public Security Committee.

According to the policy decision taken by the government to use organic fertilizer for agriculture in the country, and the promotion of the use of organic fertilizer, a discussion on the issues that are arising and the proposed solution for them was held at the Divisional Secretariat auditorium in Maharagama on 2021 June 16. under the leadership of A Maharagama Pradeshiya Coordination Committee Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena and Co-President of Colombo District Coordination Committee, Parliament member Hon. Major Pradeep Udugoda.

At this occasion, Colombo District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, Deputy Chairman of Maharagama Regional Coordination Committee, Mr. Upali Kodikara, Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Mr. Manjula Nagahawatta, Director of Agriculture, Agriculture Secretary N. Mr. Nilwala Ministery of Western province, Director of palnning Colombo district Mr. Senaka Silva and a group of Staff Officers and Field Officers participated.

In this meeting, a decision was taken to hold a special meeting on the required organic fertilizer for the division and the issues related to it and the quality assurance in the organic farming issues
