Objective - To implement selected projects in 41 Divisions of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Division in parallel to the program of simultaneously initiating 100,000 selected regional and district development projects which have been given priority in this year's budget proposals. The symbolic inauguration of these projects was held on 03.02.2022 under the patronage of the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the Leader of the House, Minister of Education and the Political Representatives.

Guidance - Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama, Mr. S. K. Jayasundara, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Mr. Nimal Dayaratne, Assistant Director (Planning) Coordinating – GN division Development Officers, Staff including the Rural Committee and Planning Division of the Division.

These development projects are being implemented in the areas of livelihood development, public infrastructure development, environmental and sustainable development, social welfare and social development, trade house.

Gangodawila Mahamaya Girls' College, Maharagama Divisional Secretariat held a professional guidance program for the students appearing to G.C.E (O/L) examination at Gangodavila College on 2022-01-24. Resource Contribution for Career Guidance Officer Mr. Ananda Wijekoon Mrs. Thushari Anuruddika .Professional Officer Mr. Janaka Bandara, Mr. Chandimal Piyathilaka, Mr. Ajith Kumara. C. Wettasinghe and the program was organized by Human Resources Officer Wettasinghe.

Under the supervision of Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary and Mrs. S.K Jayasundara, Assistant Divisional Secretary, a series of Psychological Counseling Programmes based on the Therapeutics and Strengths aimed at making the careers and personal lives of a group of randomly selected officers attached to the office a success under the theme 'A Happy World' The first programme was launched on 2022-01-20. This is a series of research programmes to be conducted over a period of four months. These programmes were created by Psychology Consultant Officer Nethra Malagoda. Resource contributions were made by Psychology Counselor Mrs. Nethra Malagoda, Counseling Assistant Mrs. Sripali Pitawela and Assistant Counselor Mrs. Kalhari Vasana.

Sajith Saranga, Development Officer, Delimitation Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs, contributed resources to the training workshop which was held to provide a comprehensive understanding of the delimitation of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat through Digitization and to provide proper guidance on resolving demarcation issues in the Division. It was held at the office auditorium with the participation of all the Divisional Development Officers and Grama Niladharis in the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Division on 24th January 2022.

Budget 2022 Awareness program for the public representatives of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat on project proposals and other project proposals was held on 19-01-2022 at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of the Colombo District Planning Director Senaka Silva. Coordinating Vice President Upali Kodikara, Kanthi Kodikara People's Representatives, including Mrs. Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola and staff participated.
