Under the provisions of the Ministry of Agriculture and The vertical space home garden promotion program was conducted on 6th November 2021 at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of Mr. Samitha Madhusanka, District Director of Agriculture and District Agriculture Instructor. Home garden items were distributed to 31 beneficiaries of the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat.

Distribution of Seed Packets to the Beneficiaries of the Maharagama Division under the Sustainable Development Home Gardening Program was done by the Maharagama Coordinating Committee Representative Mr. Upali Kodikara, Assistant Commissioner of Agrarian Development, Maharagama Divisional Secretary with the organization of the Maharagama Agrarian Services Center on 1^st November 2021.

On the instruction of Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Divisional Secretary, Maharagama, a training program was conducted at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat on 03^rd November 2021 with the resource contribution of the Productivity Promotion Officer of the National Productivity Secretariat, Mrs. Sandamali Weerakkody.

Kottawa South Rural Development Society with a financial assistance of Rs. 42,000 / - required equipment were provided to 14 pregnant mothers in the division on 31st October 2021 at 3 pm at Dhammakithikaramaya, Kottawa South. Colombo District Rural Development Officer, Development Officer, midwife Officer, Rural Officer and union members also attended the event.
