Under the concept of Rural Economic Revitalization Central Committee, with the aim of increasing the nutrition of malnourished children, a program of the "Providing a nutritious meal to school children" program was conducted on 19.10.2022.

This program was conducted under the chairmanship of the Colombo District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne and Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola. The program was coordinated by Mrs. Child Rights and Promotion Officer of Colombo District Secretariat and Mr. Mahinda, Village Officer of Pamunwa division.

Financial contribution for today's nutrition program was given by Mr. Atula, the president of Golden Fly.

Maharagama West Public Health Inspector, Pathiragoda Grama Niladari Mr. Sudhira Weerasiri, Maharagama East Development Officer Mr. Chatura Samaranayake, Maharagama West Development Officer Mrs. Sujeewa Liyanapathirana participated in this event.

The Maharagama Regional Literary Festival was held on 2022-09-28 under the theme of 'Village Song, Simple Song' with a speech and the awarding of Pranama Abhishek awards under the patronage of Colombo District Secretary Mr.Pradeep Yasaratne and Maharagama Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola.

On 09/07/2022 and 09/08/2022, a workshop for twenty selected entrepreneurs engaged in small businesses in Makumbura North and Makumbura South GN divisions was held at the Makumbura United Funeral Aid and Welfare Society Hall. This program was coordinated and supported by Ms. Kaleni of the Small Business Development Division. The two-day workshop was organized by Ms. Damita Narasinghe, Assistant Director of Small Business Colombo District Office, Mr. Pradeepa Jayasekara and Mr. Nirosha Nanayakkara, trade department officers.
