On 24/05/08, the certificate awarding ceremony of the special six-month counseling training course for pre-school teachers was held in a very grand manner under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary. Mrs. Nayana Athukorala, chief management officer of the council and a group of invited guests participated. 23 pre-school teachers from Maharagama / Homagama divisional secretariats participated in this. The coordination was provided by early childhood development officer Mrs. Nilushani Ariyaratne.
